Show Details:

This was my first show at Montclair State University. I was so excited to be a part of this show. My character was Roberta Victor. She was, at this point and time in the show, a high-class hooker. During the rehearsal process, we received the actual stories of these real life people since the show is based off of a book of interviews of the "working class". Roberta's story, as I read hers to get a better understand of who she was as a person, was one of success and then a spiral downfall ending in drugs and "cheap tricks" just to fulfill her craving to get stoned and high.

I had a lot of fun with becoming Roberta. She was a fun person to be, full of personality and confidence, with an air of "I can accomplish anything...can you?" Suzy Speidel, who still works with Paper Mill Playhouse, was our director. She was great to work with and she had so many creative ideas. I will always look back on this show with pride and full of great memories.
